In addition to custom portraits, I like to dabble in a few other artsy fields. I do a lot of graphic design, mostly as charitible work for fundraisers, and the occasional web design. I recently put my design and photography skills to good use when I wrote and published my first book.

GRAPHIC DESIGN
I love trying to convey a message using graphics. I design logos, business cards, educational pamphlets, banners, magazine covers, calendars... you name it. My first real project was designing a new logo for my college at The Ohio State University. It was a great experience and I fell in love with the process.

WEB DESIGN
Admittedly, my foray into web design was born out of necessity. I wanted to display my work for a wider audience and the web was the obvious way to go. I have since revamped this website four times, created a website for a local musician, pete vogel (www.petevogel.com), and for a local dog daycare (unfortunately, out of business). I do the occasional web site for a friend or colleague but since I don’t do it often, it takes awhile to “get back in the groove” and I rarely take on new projects.

BOOKS
In September of 2009 I published my first book, “Setterly Yours: A Photographic Introduction to English Setters”. It took a year to perfect the text, whittle down thousands of photographs, and create the layout for the book. I am very pleased with the result and have received a great deal of favorable feedback. Please visit www.setterlyyours.com for additional information. You can preview the book below.
